The Drowning Coast
There is nothing better to me than the combination of snow and surf and this was the first time I had experienced it in full force. Dane Anderson and I stayed with Nico and Jill Manos for one full month and surfed 26 of those days. If you’re unfamiliar with the eastern seaboard, that’s basically a miracle no matter the time of year. We left with our fill of long, long, waves and a perpetual numbness to our toes (which hasn’t stopped me from going back several times).
Surfers: Dane Anderson, Nico Manos
Placement: Assets from this trip were used editorially as a full feature in Carve as well as select images in Later Magazine, Surfline and The Surfer’s Journal.
