So I once had an idea to carry a surfboard and a 70lb-backpack full of supplies around a desolate portion of Cascadian coast searching for waves with two buddies for two weeks. We found some waves. They weren’t amazing, but they weren’t terrible and the fact that we stayed relatively dry in this portion of the world during the last two weeks of September is the miracle we tend to forget.
