Can it be possible for a place to define a person? I certainly feel like it can. Cascadia is in my bones and my blood. My entire family history is rooted between Oregon, Washington and British Columbia and when I am in these places, I can tell. I can feel it. It’s the land I love and nowhere else on earth do I feel a stronger sense of belonging. The above images are snippets into the moments when the wind and weather align. They’re deceiving. It isn’t normally like this, but when you live along this coastline, every so often you’re blessed with a brief window and that’s what these images represent: the miracle of it all coming together.
